WHAT ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE COURSE?
No formal entry qualification is required but you need to be in a position to generate evidence to demonstrate competence against the standard. All students will be expected to have an individual interview with the course tutor
ATTENDANCE
Start Date: January 2012
Mode of Delivery 1. One evening per week 5pm - 9pm (37 weeks) Note 5pm-6pm is for individual tutorials, or
Mode of Delivery 2. One day per week 9.00am till 4.30pm (22 weeks)
** Please note to properly engage with the programme we ask for an attendance of 75% minimum. In addition to class attendance it is estimated that each student will be required to study in their own time at least 5 hours per week for research , assignment preparation and wider reading on specific topic areas
COURSE STRUCTURE AND CONTENT
Six Mandatory Units:
- Introduction to Leadership
- Understanding the Management Role
- Planning practical leadership activities
- Developing leadership through practical activities
- Learning through complex workplace activities
- Managing Personal Professional Development
The remaining 41 is gained from OPTIONAL UNITS to be agreed with the group
ASSESSMENT
A mixture of work based assignments, reflective reviews, leadership development plan, reflective log and centre assessments.
